I find this song is more about panic attacks than OCD, I have panic attacks in supermarkets a lot and it's like I NEED to leave or i'm gonna freak the fuck out. Nicest way of putting it. They're nightmarish. Also, relationships with general instability I think is a theme in this song, imo.

This song makes me think that the 'love affair' she is having is just her being close to her other self (the obsessive and anxious self). This other form will constantly battle with her telling her how to act (this being the OCD). The supermarket part of the song appears to be her anxiety kicking in 'people are staring' and how she can't perform a simple talk of buying crackers without breaking down. Then the week without food could also be and eating disorder. I don't know but that's how I see it - either way this song is amazing and I wish deeper songs like this were more common x

I totally thought this song was about anorexia for a second because of the whole crackers part (i use to be anorexic and that's how it was I would go to the store and just stare at the food for hours, have a mini panic attack and then run out with nothing). But I can see it being about OCD.

I have OCD and i relate to almost every lyric in this song. You get thoughts that bug you and bug you and won't go away. You get obsessed with tiny little things nobody else really notices (like crackers, in this song) my obsession was cutting my hair. I had to keep cutting until it was all even. OCD isn't fun. And i don't know if this is everyone with OCD but i really relate to the "crackers were probably bad lucky anyway" line. When you do something stupid like that when you have OCD you constantly try and justify it.

This makes me think of depression/anxiety but I think it may be about OCD.... cause when she says 'Look, look, just choose something, Quick!' it makes me feel SO ANXIOUS!! my god! Cause listening to this song I feel so rushed when that part comes on but that's what I love so much about the song cause the lyrics are so powerful.... To me anyways...
