A joy to just sit back and listen... now on my favorites list so I can some back again and revisit the groove! Now if only I could learn to play like that :)

the thing I particularly love about this is the display of other skills Marcus has. I love his slap, but, the gorgeous slow groove, the harmonics, and all with a bit of chorus is just beautiful.

Nice singer. Layla. Marcus miller doesn't play so much with his thumb in this take. The thumb gets some rest before the rest of the Slap- night!!!

Just makes my heart happy to see how many people have liked this, and not one dislike......kind of restores my faith in the world a little bit.....after listening, how can you not just love a little more?

Awesome lick by Lalah at 4:45 which seems to be a nod / quote of Luther Vandross from one of his licks at the end of the track Creepin' on "The Night I Fell in Love" album (that Marcus incidentally wrote, performed and co-produced by in the mid 80's). May have not been intentional, but sure immediately gave me dejavu of that album, and that is a good thing!
