My absolute favorite Mark Cohn song. Wish it got as much airplay as "Walking in Memphis". To me it is has deeper more passionate lyrics and the melody just pulls you into the story. Still looking for my true companion...hope when I find her, she loves this song as much as I do!

I sang this at my friend Linh's wedding in 2005. I accompanied myself on my Gibson J-180 EC acoustic guitar. I was kind of novice at guitar then, but at one point while I was singing, I was able to look up and see Linh and her new husband Anthony; both of them were crying. It was one of the high points of my life to sing at Linh's wedding. I don't know if there is a more perfect song for a wedding. I think it's nice that not everyone knows about it. Nobody is ever like: "Not THAT song again."
