After mandesa (who is awesome) I have not saw someone who stood up for God and sings such music that makes you cry because you are so touch my the holy spirit until Colton Dixon last year. It is so cool how much they both love the lord and show that though idol and their music now.

@yoandizini I agree. But just because those other Katy Perry, Beyonce and Jordan Sparks sing songs that aren't Christian, it doesn't mean they "Left God for fame". They can be Christians and still do what they do as long as they have God in their heart.

@YeshuaIzYahweh Mandisa was a Christian singer before she went on Idol. She evidently used to sing backing vocals for other christian singers in churches and meetings. I guess it's just that Idol gave her the opportunity to go out on her own accord and be a soloist in her own right. She certainly has the voice for it doesn't she and it's patently obvious that she loves the Lord.

I have just recently come across Mandisa from a song I heard from her on my radio station in Australia...............She sings such beautiful and inspiring songs. Really helps and encouragesme in my walk with God. I especially like He Is With You and God Speaking, although they are all great!

I know I quit watching American Idol because I couldn't stand the empty pop music. I had no idea a woman like this would stem from that show. Not like I'll still watch it because I'm sure they cringed with her direction.
