STILLS looks awfully happy playing with HILLMAN instead of Crosby! I read an article at the time hinting at the same, but the footage of Stills screaming at Crosby, lying in a hammock, made it a lot plainer why Stills formed Manassas. Great idea, great performance here!

Good God, I had no idea of this video even existing! If I'd known it was an electric version I might not have even listened to it, since I try so hard to keep the acoustic Stills separate from the plugged-in Stills - I would have really missed out, though. I love this f***ing guy's playing so much, what a treat to hear this!

Saw CSN a few times, once with Neil, but the highlight of my concert experiences was Stills' solo show in Toronto in'95. He came out with his Martin and did a medley of Stills, Manassas, and Springfield tunes. When I shouted for Black Queen, he smiled at me and threw me his pick. It is framed in my studio!

@nhoner They've gotta be one of the most underrated bands of the 70s. Probably because they didn't last long. Both of their albums compliment each other so well though.
