Sometimes the name of a song and the name of the artist is the same. Once there was a great offensive tackle named Lincoln Kennedy and he played for the University of Washington. Appropriately, three presidents named right there. With a name like that, everyone must have liked him as did the recipient of the name given at birth to the subject of song # 2377. What has that to do with # 2868? Not much, unless we find an athlete whose last name might match the name of the city he played in. So we might find a baseball player named Boston who played for Boston but when we look, I find Daryl Boston played for the White Sox, not the Red Sox. Daryl was a Met for one year and from what I remember did an OK job. How about a player named Washington who played for the Redskins or Nats. Oh, sorry, change the former to the 'Skins. There, that should neutralize those Native Americans and those solipsistic types who want that team name rubbed out. But was there a Washington who played for the Washington Nationals or the old Washington Senators? Maybe, but it was not Claudell Washington as he played mainly for the A's after the old Senators moved to Texas. Herb Washington played for the A's too and was the sublime pinch (designated) runner and never ever got to the plate. There must have been someone out there. But back to # 2868 which is "Madness" by Madness.
