Madness had 1 big hit in the U.S. with "Our House" and nearly another with "It Must Be Love". But other than that got no play on radio. I am glad I went to record stores and bought a bunch of their albums. This was always one of my favorites.

I remember the dark days when this version wasn't on YouTube, only the R1 Studio Session version, and I'd have to go onto the M.A.D.D.I.E. media player on the Madness' website, and press the "Start/Stop" button till I got to this song... The amount of times I missed it by accidentally clicking again :(

@spalf73 The name of the album "The Rise and Fall" may have predicted the fate of the band back then, their downfall. Who knows, maybe they're a bit superstitious about it.

@ylaviv This is very true, wish they'd play this album in full in smaller venues

May I recommend the book 'A Concise Guide To Eighties' Music' by Karl Vorderman. The author is a big fan of this track.

@finglaspete Mate, they don't know what they're missing. I can only only think of a couple of songs I don't like and that's only coz my brother over played them.

@finglaspete I've been their avid follower from the late 70s', and I agree with every word you're saying; nevertheless, Madness, in European tours since their last comeback insist of playing those "top 10" hits over and over and over again.
