This is definitely my favourite version of this song, so fucking meaty \m/ But that is not to say the original is not the best, as its THE definitive version all other aspire to be. As for the CoF version, used to be a fan years ago but these days they don't do it for me and the solo is the only bit that I enjoy now.

I read lots of people saying this version was better than Iced Earth's version. I disagree. Matt Barlow had one of the best voices of all time. Better than anyone who has sung this song. Dickinson and Barlow are right on par with each other for vocal talent. This version has growling in it??? How could this be better? Weird.

I love the Machine Head vibe on this piece! The Cradle Of Filth version just doesn't suit the style of the original Iron Maiden version in general. It was to be expected that it'd be bad though because when a metal band has a good vocalist it makes the sound of the tune way better compared to that growling vocal sh*t. Not saying that Cradle is bad, I like them too but they should stick to their type of tune because they completely violated this song.
