Sheryl George is talking about the different style of songs between Luke the Drifter and Hank Jr. Hank Jr wanted to sing his songs when he first started to tour. He would sing a few of these songs at shows, but the public wanted to hear his daddy's music. They would shout, "sing your daddy's songs. We want to hear his music". This was the reason Hank Jr changed his style to outlaw country music. ( He knew he could never follow in his father's footsteps). Family Tradition was born along with a new era of country music.

LOL....same person. Luke Jr., Bocephus and Hank Jr. We refer to him around here as the 5 time Entertainer of the Year. If you count Great Britain in '71, he is the 6 time Entertainer of the Year.

@skeetabix36 . Oh, it's been around, just not played all that much. I remember hearing this back around the 70s and 80s, My mother has the 33 rpm vinyl one that is pictured in the video. Uncle john on there is also a good one, and so is the one called At The First Fall of Snow.
