SHELBY in a very frisky mood that night- and is ideal at harmony back-up even if she is a bit-s%#&-faced - or maybe just in a rare mood ???-- funny as hell- and a great moment captured here - worth watching- multiple times

I know a lot of Lucinda Williams fan will probably burn me in effigy, but I have NEVER liked her voice -- I think it's nasal and abrasive, and her intonation is sometimes just flat out atrocious -- fwiw, I think her talent lies more in the area of songwriting.

It's apparent that fun is watching pros have fun, Shelby and Lucinda show how it's done.Looking at a song sheet is nothing new and makes little difference when what comes out is this fine, Who ever thinks one can remember the words to hundreds of songs whether yours or someone elses should be more forgiving, it doesn't make you unprofessional, I saw Gregg Allman do it and they don't get much more pro then that. Much fun watchin this clip, Thanks for the post..

Not at all, Nashville rejected them both cause they refused to be crammed into the commercial market Nashville now embraces, Who would have ever thought emotional music would take a back seat to a pure pop approach ? These 2 ladies will never forsake thier artistry for a buck. It's Nashvilles loss not ours, Thank God for independent musicians who still put thier music first... Lucinda Shelby, Allison Moorer, Patty Loveless, even Martina Mcbride , & a handful of others need not give in ...

This vid is a riot. They're both firecrackers. Whether Lu uses a song sheet or not, it sounds the same either way. She once told an Audience that David Johansen of NY Dolls used one,so there ya go...

Please...you try remembering songs to over hundreds of songs you've written. It's not possible, even if it is your own song. I sense jealousy.

I'm not upset. :-) Juat wanted you to know that she uses a songsheet....I have heard her discuss this in an interview but really it never bothered me the way it upsets you and a few others. But at least you listen to her! Peace!!!

ok, no seriously does she really have dementia? not to piss you off again but I thought she was just always drunk?

Ok, I agree that she is " an amazing artist who mainstream music industry neglects to recognize "...who also has dementia. Which only makes her that much more interesting and amazing.
