This is a small tribute to one of my favorite rock n' roll bass players of all time, Dieter Horns, from a very, very underrated german band, Lucifer's Friend.
The song is Moonshine Rider, from the record Mind Exploding, a really great record overall from which I shall make some other covers in the future.
Enjoy.
Now with the tech talk: Comparing with the original recording, I could get a really good and faithful tone with my Fender Jazz Bass with passive settings, tone knob like, 80% percent to treble and pickup knob 50% towards bridge. I use Elixir strings.
I used also an Zoom B3 to get my distortion and boost. If anyone has the B3 (or similar effects processor) and wants to know the exact preset I made for the Lucifer's Friend songs, hit me up with a message.

Eu assisti um video do Ditier Horns, só que é da fase mais pop, consegui ver que ele toca de precision, porém, no video ao vivo de Fugitive, ele parece tocar de Jazz Bass. Acredito que você está certo, com certeza ele toca com um Jazz Bass da década de 60, que ainda não tinha o captador da ponte mais próximo, tem uma pegada igual a do John Paul Jones.10 years назад

Fucking great commment. I thank you very much for the good word and yes, I agree. The man is a beast,I think in the Lucifer's Friend rehearsals he was the first getting in and the last one getting out. The basslines are so hyperactive. He simply doesn't stop. It's fucking funny (and enthusiastic of course). Love the guy. One of the very favorites of all time!
