I agree with Chicagoshane. Whenever something happens - like a guy I like doesn't call back, or I struggle with something, this song comes to mind. I've always loved this band. They're great for when your mood is - well, dark and slow. They're really awesome people, too. I met them back in the day when they played tiny venues.

I was concerned, at first when I read that Steve Albini produced this album. I couldn't have been more wrong. He brings a perfect understanding of the lo-tec / minimalist aspect of Low which I should have anticipated being familiar with Shellac. Great album.

For me this song captures some of the pain of not understanding why life sometimes takes away from you opportunities for genuine happiness. The long ambient introduction feels like the confusion preceding the violent sorrow.
