The music world lost one of its all time greats. I came here to look at the lyrics, someone told me this song is about heroin, Hmmmm I don't think so, but it could be, I somehow hear an undercurrent of upcoming tragedy that is coupled with all fukcing rec class A drugs. "You're going to reap just what you sow" reap weep with Loy Reed who was a singing poet you do have to pay attention to those nuances and that is what makes him a great.If it was about smack I love the fact that the BBC used the song in a promotional vid about thier org and that cover (with Lou Reed playing a role) went on to be a smash hit.

My 18 year old son, to whom I'd been vainly singing Lou Reed's praises for a decade (cause you never listen to anything if your parents say it's good, right?) recently said to me, with total incredulity, "You mean you don't know this song, Mom? Jeez, it's beautiful!" Crazy to think that I'd never heard it - so now it's playing in two rooms - his, and mine. Thanks, Lou.
