Strange .Was reading an old Lou Reed RIP interview from The Rolling Stones magazine , and he was saying that he never like The Beatles. Now i see him singing a Jonh Lennon music . Anyway his best album in my opinion is Rock n Roll Animal . Is a live album from 1973. I am from Brazil and heard for the first time in 1975 was a 16 years kif and did not even know who he was . First song was Sweet Jane with an intro wrote by Steve Hunter and playing his amazing guitar with Dick Wagner RIP also a great guitar player . Just blow my mind away , it took me a month to find a store to buy the album. Still have it and now of course the CD . Went to live in LA early 80`S and got a change to see him live at the Roxy on Sunset Blvd. But Steve and Dick weren`t playing with him anymore , was a good concert but nothing compare to that show in New york that was the album.

Lou at perhaps his absolute best, and hands down one of the best covers. I love Lou. What a loss to the world of music—especially those who truly appreciate his work with Velvet Underground. He was pure talent and is greatly missed.

I was at this show. Lou Reed was by far the highlight of the evening. It was really something to see live.

The older I get the more I appreciate Reed. That vocal takes some getting used to, however. Lennon's limp wrist original sounds like elevator music by comparison
