Shalimars Song

*Prospero's Speech*And now my charms are all o'erthrownAnd what strength I have's mine ownWhich is most faint; now t'is trueI must here be released by youBut release me from my bandsWith the help of your good handsGentle breath of yours my sailsMust fill, or else my project fails,Which was to please. Now I wantSpirits to enforce, art to enchantAnd my ending is despair,Unless I be relieved by prayerWhich pierces so that it assaultsMercy itself and frees all faultsAs you from your crimes would pardon'd beLet your indulgence set me free.

That's where I heard this song, too. It's a truly beautiful rendition of the original speech

I came searching for this after hearing it on an episode of Due South, Season 1, Episode 6, Called Chinatown. It is very haunting.

I remember once listening to this on headphones while walking through a busy, crowded downtown Chicago street, It was a completely surreal experience, with the slow, ethereal beauty of this song in my ears and seeing the hustle and bustle going on about me. The juxtaposition was very interesting. This song used to(and still does) give me the chills......
