That bridge is so. Very. Tight.The tension of the excellent bassline and that building, soaring trumpet solo. And how many bands can make themselves have their (admittedly superb) guitarist step down for a song? The guitar here is basically just counterpoint and rhythm. And it's excellent. This song also wins in that Cake is willing to not load every second with a wall of sound. There is empty space in there. And it is good.Note that the last two minutes is, but for one chorus, almost just pure instrumental of the highest quality.
