To me the song is a reminder of all the bad things and what bad friendship means. When people are smiling in your face then stabbing you in the back. Eventually they become "dead to you" yet you see them around and they torment you everytime by hurting you either physically, mentally, or emotionally. More to follow below.

Some people are driven so mad by being hurt by the ones they had truely cared about and were to "blind to see" that they would rather kill themselves and take a chance going to hell; if they had to deal with these certain people surrounding them their entire life. More to follow below.

Then it feels the song reflects back to them about their own blindness of how much they are loved and cared about. After having to deal with betrayals over and over again it makes you not ever want to trust anyone again, after putting trust into others and the cruel reality they concieve.
