The School of Rock Midwest All-Stars perform Local H's "Bound For the Floor" with Scott Lucas at Schuba's on July 30th, 2011. Sorry about the incorrect title card. I still have not received a set list for the show, and had to search for "Local H" and a bit of the lyrics and some lyrics site had the song listed as "So Pathetic".

Great great indeed, for me I think there's no arguing when it comes down to con fraternization with musicians but I have to say that the drums added to much beat for this unique song. Still enjoyed as always, they can make thousand of mistake and I still would. Thx for sharing it.

Good but in my opinion has some faults as bass and drums players.. For example... does no sound at all... :-s

This was fantastic. I would have loved the opportunity to be able to play this song with the original singer. This was fantastic.

No idea. All the teachers at the various School of Rock locations are working musicians with active bands. No doubt a teacher knew Scott and asked him to do this, and he was a nice enough to do this. Check around - there are lots of videos of famous performers playing with School of Rock bands.

Glad to have made it available. I wish I knew who these other players were. I shoot concerts by the Kansas City, Chicago, Naperville and Evanston School of Rock, but this show was by the Midwest All-Stars, and those kids are from Schools all over the region. I shoot these shows to offer a service to their parents, but I'm quite confident that several of them will become successful, and these videos will be historically vital.

That was awesome. Just didn't like the bassist singing over Scott.

Exactly how? He sounds solid enough to me. This was a School of Rock "All-Stars" show, a band formed by the top 2% of the students. As I mentioned earlier, the players apparently learned this song without Scott, and they acted as his pick-up band. Of course I'm devoting far too much time a three word, utterly dismissive comment that ends in "lol" deserves.

Yeah, he had to edit the thing for the audience. A large part of the crowd at any School of Rock show is kids at the school as young as 7, their younger siblings, their parents and their grandparents. Not a good crowd on which to drop F-bombs. Kudos to Scott on his reserve.

@midwestconcertvideo For some reason, I am unable to register on the localh forum. One person there suggested that Scott Lucas was unhappy with the performance. I would suggest they watch the beginning of this video more closely - he's playing a borrowed guitar. A couple of other things. As far as I know, the School of Rock kids practiced this song by themselves, and this is the first time they have played it with Lucas. I don't recall it being played during sound check.

I tried to register on the localh user forum, but have not heard from the webmaster yet. Two things: This is primarily a soundboard feed thanks the the very nice sound guy at Schuba's. I mixed in a bit of my live mics (a pair of SM81s). I shot with a Canon XH-A1 and three lesser cameras, all HD and edited it all in Edius. Thanks to LocallyBound for his kind words, and I'll pass them on the the players. And the bass player is wearing a Tool t-shirt. The whole thing is in HD

OK, I see people are coming here from localh.com. All the other musicians are the School of Rock All-Stars - the best of all the midwest schools got together and toured. They are all 17 or under. If you are unfamiliar with the School of Rock program, it is an after-school program for kids age 7 to 17 that gets them playing rock in real venues before a paying audience. It was founded by a guy named Paul Green, and there are now 69 schools throughout the US.
