Very much. He sounds inspired. For a guy who played as many sessions and gigs as he did, all through his career examples of inventive phrasing and mechanical application carry through to the listener in emotional resolve. He's got it.

@SharpeDave Contact Tom Bradshaw at PSG Products. He specializes in all kinds of recorded steel guitar music, even hard-to-find recordings. I can't guarantee that he will have exactly what you're looking for, but I recommend his catalog as a good place to start. He might have plenty of other stuff that you'll find interesting.

It was Lloyd who got me hooked on steel guitar to begin with. Those great Charlie Pride albums he recorded on. Then came Buddy Emmons, Jimmy Day, Ralph Mooney, Pete Drake and all those other great steel players of the golden years of country music. I'm still inspired to this day by these great talents.

I have loved this guy's music for many many years and in the 60's I bought a vinyl album called 'Greensleeves' but cannot locate it or the music on it. Anyone can help, I would appreciate. Will pay handling and postage or whatever. Lloyd couldn't play a bad tune if he tried...Aussie Fan

I met LLoyd at the steel guitar convention and brought a copy of an album that I bought in Walgreens in the cut out bin, Lloyd said it was in better shapr than his copy. A very classy and unique personality, Plus I believe he's in Mensa.
