I love Livingston more and more and his music is simply magical however I am very tired of his brother James joking about his Heroin use and laughing at himself when he cracks the line "Evidently I played here in the 60's" I do not think it is a laughing matter as I have had people in my family die from Heroin use.I love Jame's music but over the years from reading how he had the best time of his life on it I cannot support his comments or his idiotic words.It is simply no laughing matter.Simon UK

This is a great series, I raised my Daughter listening to James, luckily she has taken to music and is a wonderful singer/songwriter. In fact she is spending the week with Liv and others at the songwriting school in Colorado, Stephanie asked me to look up Livingston and I'm glad I did. The Taylor family has some very talented and wonderful people in it.

when I was a kid in syracuse, I used to see livingston taylor and a bass player at the jabberwocky syracuse university, always a beautiful and inspiring show. I went to woodstock after running away from home, and that pretty much decided my path in life. My mom was a singer(pretty well known abroad), and she wanted more for me so after encouraging me as a child, she one day decided to criticize and lead me in a more professional direction, but it was too late. By that time I was bound to sing.

At LLM we don't measure success by chart hits. There is musical fulfillment without the narrow scope of commercial radio telling what we should accept as "good". Should Liv not follow his passion just because he shares it with a sibling? - we discussed this in depth in clip 6 - I had similar questions . . .
