This is my version of "Little Bitty Pretty One," written and originally recorded by Bobby Day, and popularized by Thurston Harris in 1957.

Over the years it has been covered by:

Frankie Avalon in 1958

Frankie Lymon in 1958

Clyde McPhatter in 1962

The Dave Clark Five in 1965

The Jackson Five in 1972

Cliff Richard in 1983

Lindisfarne in 1987

Huey Lewis and the News in 1994

The Doobie Brothers in 1999

Billy Gilman in 2000

The cookie tin that you see in the video is what I actually used for the recording. First, I turned it upside-down to use as hand percussion, next I put a gold chain inside to use as a "tambourine," then again turned upside-down with my nails tapping on it.

I use ProTools as my DAW, and Final Cut Pro X for video. If you enjoyed this, please share, subscribe and see my other videos. Thanks for watching!

Yes, the details are really making the difference and the use of a real sofa would have been impossible with all that movement and your clones so close one to each other. Elegant and smart solution. As a video editor nerd I really enjoined this aspect too. :D

Thanks, Mirko! I'm glad you mentioned the Cup Song, because that was the style I was going for (without actually having to do the cup song). And yeah, a fake sofa behaves much better than a real one ;) Did you notice my use of drop-shadow to add to the realism of the Julie's sitting on it?

Loved it. And my daughter which is lately into the "Cup Song Environment" will love it too. It's pleasant under any single aspect. Smart thought about the use of a sofa instead of a real one.

Love the "bongo drum" accompaniment to one of my very favorite "boomer" tunes -- delightful!
