"Your Ghost" written by Kristen Hersh

If I walk down this hallway

Tonight, it's too quiet

So I pad through the dark

And call you on the phone

Push your old numbers

And let your house ring

Till I wake your ghost

Let him walk down your hallway

It's too quiet

Slide down your receiver

Sprint across the wire

Follow my number

Slide into my hand

It's the blaze across my nightgown

It's the phone's ring

I think last night

You were driving circles around me

I think last night

You were driving circles around me

I think last night

You were driving circles around me

I can't drink this coffee

Till I put you in my closet

Let him shoot me down

Let him call me off

I take it from his whisper

You're not that tough

It's the blaze across my nightgown

It's the phone's ring

You were in my dream

You were driving circles around me

You were in my dream

You were driving circles around me

You were in my dream

You were driving circles around me

I think last night

You were driving circles around me

I think last night

You were driving circles around me

haha, she actually cannot play the piano at all, only a two-finger thingy. but she's been learning the violin lately.

Kristin wrote the darn song. The original is perfect. If it wasn't why would so many other people try to cover it?

not a bad cover, the timing seems a little rushed at times though.

The trumpet player may have sped it up a bit but regardless, I still have this song stuck in my head and think it still as a great rendition of this song, thanks to Lisa.

@gramach Even though my label is not in the market for this genre (alt folk/ easy listening), I truly love their rendition. Live acts always sound a bit off from LPs, CDs, etc. As far as wardrobe, look to Sarah McLachlan, Tori Amos, DJ Adam Sky (aka: Adamski), etc. IMO, the clothing doesn't play music, the artist does. True, they could've been a bit more tight on this track, but still a great cover! Respects, MARCUS Van STEUR, 3:6:T RECORDS, Inc. [CDN/US/UK/NL] CEO,A&R, & Label Handler

@3countylaugh Totally agree with you! The trumpet spoils the piece!

@quemo2009 He is, actually. But being happy about that is just as juvenile as blindly bashing this as 'noise' so.... =)

I love everything about this except the trumpeter. He pushes the pace and she has to rush to keep up with him. He should ahve stuck with the vibraphone. Instead of being full of haunting space, it's full of rush and hubbub... he should be shot... okay just not play trumpet on this piece.
