When I was a teenager this stuff was really, really popular in my very predominantly white, upper middle class school. Kids would come up and try and talk to me about music and they all loved this band, Kid Rock, Eminem, and some random Snoop, DMX and Ja Rule lol. They thought that If they mentioned a black (incredibly mainstream, phony and corny as fuck) rapper they listened to then they would have something in common with me and be the white guys that understood black struggle and so they could tell their friends "I'm bros with a black guy. He's my nigga. But never tell him I used that word" I came on here looking for the remake Limp Bizkit did of George Michaels "faith". The only song out of this whole genre I like. But just hearing this shit brings be back many years to grade 11, park parties, gettin hand jobs at parties etc. funny how music can invoke distinct memories and emotions
