she sang this song on an episode of Walker Texas Ranger, she sang it a few times on that episode so obviously this song makes me think of that show, much like James Browns Living in America makes me think of Rocky 4 (Apollo's death, lost song he ever heard).

It wasn't all her fault though. The music industry changed at the turn of the century and artist like Lila were no longer the fad; like "boy bands" before them, the day and age of the cute little teen bobber is gone. Also I think sluts like Brittney Spears killed the industry as well, so Lila, go blame her.

When she was here at this point in her life at 17-years old, she was awesome. Now, however, she's married, knocked up twice, a mother of two, and 31-years old. I heard she was dropped by her record label and some of the singles she did with Broken Bow Records weren't even released. I love her old songs like this one and "Down Came a Blackbird". She had her 15-minutes of fame. Time now to go get a real job. I mean I thought she was going to be a massive star too...NOT!

When she released this in 1997 I thought she was going to be a massive star. Her music was just awesome, but radio changed at the end of the 90's and all the really good 90's artists got swept away. I wish she would have a major comeback. She is still lovely.
