Like what? The crusades? Tell me, would you think the European monarchs would never ever try to push their borders to the east without the church? I know that the German Empire always had a quarrel with the church yet they took part in the crusades. The witchhunting? This was started by the peasants, the church only jumped on the train to keep their power. But yeah, bothering Christians for something that happened 500 years ago is like calling all Germans Nazis.
