Its to bad Lowell George couldn't have done the same thing. Turned his health around. I saw an interview with the surviving members of the band, they were angry with him for letting him self go so badly. He didn't even have life insurance so they did a benefit concert for Lowell's wife and kids.It's sad when people have a great thing going and just let go of all respect for their health and end up 6 feet under. But how many rockers have made that sacrifice ... way to may in the 27 club for sure. And far to many form other things.

All the years of cocaine, heroin and drinking caught up to him by this point. Jack Bruce said he ate nothing but burgers, soda, tons of doughnuts & candy bars. As bad condition as Leslie was here, he continued to get worse, I saw him in '84 and he was so huge he wore a "tent" and played sitting down the entire show. Since having his leg amputated, he is back and playing since 2014, keep on rockin' bro.

Sadly Leslie has had to have a leg amputated due to complications arising from Diabetes. Worry not, he's planning a tour when he gets to grips with his new false leg. Rock On big guy.
