Lesley had so many great songs, but this is probably in the top five, as is the soulful follow up "I'll Be Standing By". Listen to it 3 times before you make any judgments. It is soulful Lesley riffing and screaming into the song...uncomparable. She builds into it so well.

Philadelphia soul music.  Produced by the famous Gamble-Huff team, this song is a gem.  Lesley's voice takes off on the soul parts, proving that the little white girl from New Jersey could handle a soul song as well as the best of them.  Her singing is exceptionally strong, and the way she vocalizes at the end is priceless.  Should have been top ten material.
