A decent quality version of Les Claypool's small solo off of the album "Highball With The Devil". Enjoy!

It's a shame that most of you think Les wrote this. This is a cover of Dexter Redding's playing.

The Devil is certainly not holding a highball :( Superb music, though :)

The drums sounds like crap though. It's sounds like it was recorded in a garage with one mic.

Always thought this was the bass solo in the live version of Tommy The Cat from the deluxe copy of Rhinoplasty (at least I think it's Rhinoplasty). Didn't know it was a whole song in itself.

I'll trade you! The P bass has a quicker neck than a J bass, just put new pickups in it if it's the tone you're looking for.

I saw the reddings play this yrs ago,, down in front,, I wish I could have video tape it,, and believe me,, only one bass and it soundlike the LP,, the mans good,, you really had to see him play it............

The Reddings version definitely has more soul. This is great, but it's more mechanical sounding.

Dexter Redding was the only bassist. I love this version but will always prefer the Redding's.
