Disney may as well give a chance to make a third Fantasia like Musicana and Fantasia 2006! The idea was so great! The problem is Disney, itself, seem to be afraid of the idea don't make sucess. If this short is very beautiful, how don't be beautiful a Fantasia movie with musics and culture of countries like Brazil, China, Germany, Middle East, USA, Peru, Italy, Mexico and Africa?

I remember watching this when I was in my very early teens, and it made me cry. I watched and admired the television and my ears nearly exploded with such an array of fantastic melody, it literally drew me to tears. Not only because it is absolutely stunning and artistic in every way, shape or form. Not because of it's remarkable beauty in it's simplicity. But because of the message that many miss in it. Those children have nothing...they grow up on nothing, they live on nothing. The one time they have a chance to have an unbelievable amount of fun and joy in the simplest event such as kite flying, and they still have the dignity to let their kites go. To give freedom to something that had given them so much happiness. I look around me today as I am nearing twenty three years old, and I'm ashamed of my generation. So much greed and disrespect. I wish we could give the things we dont appreciate to those who would, and learn to respect and appreciate the things we never needed in the first place.

Okay people that did not understand what I am talking about regarding princess and the frog. For example let's say all the Disney Princesses were blonde. All of them and most of the princes were blonde as well. Let's say you are brunette girl and you really want to see a brunette as a princess. Then suddenly Disney makes a brunette princess and all her dark locks glory. You finally get to see yourself portrayed as desirable and a princess. And let's say Disney is really patting themselves on the back for this brunette princess. You know it's a big deal but even Disney knows it's a big deal. ABC has a documentary about the first brunette princess. And the animators talk about how they tried to make her look "authentically brunette." Animators you've never known worked at Disney that are brunette are promoting the film saying how proud they are to be making this movie and portraying this hair color. Then you watch the movie that was so hyped for portraying your princess and you only get to see that brown hair for 20 minutes of an hour and 37 minutes film. The rest she is a animal. And then you look at the other princesses that are blonde and notice they never had to turn into animals. And you look at the prince of that princess and he doesn't look like your daddy or brother. He doesn't have brown hair like the men you look up to. he's not quit blonde but he isn't brunette and people would most likely seen him as blonde anyway. A Brunette man would never be able to portray him in cosplay. But let's say you really did not see the characters as being representative to your dark haired family. The movie did not portray your characters like your friends. But with the blonde princess movies everyone is blonde. the movies discuss relationships between blonde people and their culture. But with this movie it did not talk seriously about brunette relationships. Let's say you looked up who created the movie and realized the movie was written directed by blonde people that didn't understand how it is like to be a brunette. You don't feel like the film really captured brunette people like yourself. You were so proud to see some brunette animators that worked on the film but after the movie came out andDisney put other projects you notice those brunette animators aren't working on those. you notice that those brunettes were not called back to work on other films that only involved blonde characters. And then that brunette princess has a blonde friend character. That darn blonde girl. the typical blonde girl that has been portrayed in every other princess movie is the one that get's most attention by fans. that actress wins Annie Best Voice Role while the brunette character actress doesn't win. And let's put in account that brunette characters in animation is rare. The last time you seen a brunette character in a Disney film she was a ugly maybe even animalistic servant to the pretty blonde. And now that the movie was made Disney is never going to make another movie with brunette main characters again. There can only be one. But blondes can be depicted all the time. Brunettes just seem desperate. So wouldn't the movie be a disappointment? That was your first and last chance to see a girl like yourself in a cartoon. And let's also say live action tv don't portray brunettes properly. Most of the time it's stereotypes. The tragic brunette that wants to be blonde. the geeky nerd. The shadow behind the blonde. The ugly duckling. But then you had this princess that was suppose to be beautiful and powerful icon but then you put her beside her blonde counterparts you realize she is not portrayed like them. So with all of that wouldn't that movie be a disappointment?

Everytime, emphasis on everytime, I listen and watch this song/video, I cry my eyes out. I still have yet to figure out why... Something in this song, in Lebo M's voice, in the children's voice and lyrics (granted I don't understand the language fully) connects me to a deep part of myself and it's always a high emotional moment.

If Disney made a full length movie about South Africans, I bet it'll be twice as magical and wonderful than this master piece, all Disney and it's admires have to do is "dig a little dapper" ;)
