When we first heard what Leah McFall would be singing on tonight's The Voice first live show, we have to admit we were rather surprised.

The Northern Irish singer announced yesterday that she would be performing 'I Will Survive' by Gloria Gaynor, which is better known as a cheesy karaoke classic, than a song usually covered by a credible artist.

Leah had a lot to prove tonight as not only was she Will.i.am's save in the knockout rounds, but she's also the bookies' favourite to win from her team. So there was a lot of hype to live up to.

Before the show, she thanked fans for their support and asked for their votes tonight, tweeting:
