After I bought this 45 back in the day, it turned into my mothers favourite song for the rest of her life! :)

I saw this kid on the ed Sullivan show. he was good. the singer has been forgotten but the song is indelible. I still love it. old ed would put any new performer on. he put on the King (elvis; I saw that one too on our black and white tv) and the beatles a few years later (can not remember if they had color but it does not matter; we still had a black and white). old ed Sullivan had a (really BIG shoe) and I still like his episodes on you tube. I can not remember the name of the Puerto rican who sang that song but I still love it.

Believe it or not, when this song came out in the late fifties, it was really popular. And since this was the advent of Rock and Roll, to us it fit right in. We danced to this like any other Rock and Roll song. We knew what it was about and dancing to it was just natural. I love it.

If this kid was English, then why did he say "harhns" instead of "HANDS"?! It's so annoying!

One of my favorite songs of 1958. Laurie was only a bit older than me and I wish that I could have heard more of his music.

I think he's pretty good. If you can't say something good about him or anyone else you shouldn't say anything. Abraham Lincoln once said sometimes it's better to remain silent and thought a fool then open mouth and remove all doubt.
