I wish I could find the cd "OVER THE EDGE" by Geoff Moore that this song was on.... Geoff's first few albums were great and then he decided to do bubble gum teenage pop music...... "OVER THE EDGE" AND "THE DISTANCE" BOTH ROCKED!!! THEY NEED TO BE REMASTERED AND RE-RELEASED OR AT LEAST RE-RELEASED..... I NEED BOTH CD'S PLEASE!!!!!

Geoff and Billy were roommates in college. Billy is the one who introduced Geoff to a lot of the Jesus music that inspired him. Including the Randy Mathews album that had "didn't he" on it that Geoff covered on his third album.

I never knew about this until today. What great musicians. Whiteheart is one of my favorite bands. Have seen them in the states and in Germany. At a Christian music fest Larry Norman was there. Airlines lost his guitar and they asked if someone in the audience had one he could borrow. Somebody did and I thought how cool to have Larry Norman, one of the founding fathers of Christian rock not only play your guitar, but he signed it as well!

The Distance was only Geoff Moore's touring band for the first couple of years until they were finally featured on his recording 'A Place To Stand'. On his first two albums he was mostly backed by White Heart members as they were produced by Billy Smiley. This video has early GMD lead guitarist Dale Oliver and bassist Arlin Troyer (who was Tommy Simms temporary replacement when he left the band during White Heart's Freedom tour) along with White Heart members Smiley, Kennedy, and McHugh.

@1968gravity Also, if you recognize the bassist in this video, that is Gary Mullet, who would later become GMD's bassist.

@1968gravity You are correct. Geoff Moore didn't form The Distance until 1989 following his album of the same name. They recorded and toured together for about 8 years in the 90's.

I saw Geoff Moore open for Petra in the mid to late 80's and he did this song.

Sounds real similar to Bryan Adams "Kids wanna rock"
