Having been thoroughly indoctrinated in their creepy, political initial industrial endeavors, there were indicators on this disc that these guys were getting close to disappearing up their own collective posteriors..and their next disc ' Sympathy for the Devil '..made one wonder even more..because it really was too hokey to take seriously and not even enjoyable as a cover . Thankfully they reemerged with the sublime ' Macbeth ' a year later .

Not every song that is sung in German has to be a Nazi song… come on, I was just told the WW2 has ben over for decades :) "Auf der Lüneburger Heide" is a traditional song. The poet Hermann Löns, who wrote the lyrics, died in 1914, long before the nazi dictatorship. The lyrics themselves are quite trivial, describing the simple lifestyle in the moorland of Lüneburg, the most beautiful landscape in Northern Germany, which includes hunting, drinking wine, skirt chasing and so on. So just relax.

No, it isn't. Long and Winding Road is tacked on as the keyboard music at the end of I've got a Feeling, giving it the brevity that the Beatles' worst song deserves.

I know they aren't fascists but this is a song I love blasting when I drive through the ghetto with my windows down!

I'm pretty sure this is "The Long and Winding Road", not "Maggie Mae".

@jungzanima73 I never understood how reaching into the immediate political and cultural past like Laibach did to create their expression is so threatening to people. Even if they were the worst nazis in the world they should have the right to express themselves, otherwise we`ll die in politically correct cramps. Anyway they`re not, but as far as I know anti-totalitarian. Unlike the EU I might add.

@FlysTheLight yeah, they're actually anti fascism and communism, and have a website where you can apply for a passport for their nation made of no geographical or racial boundaries. their music was originally meant to be a protest message against the communist govt feeding them western rock music as a way of making people think they somehow had freedom, but laibach saw it as trampling on their own culture and wanted communism to fall.

laibach is kind of mini postpunk/industrial mini-titoregime hihhihi art collective nsk later on the nsk state in time was also part of regime in yugo culture in that sense hat it was also a socialistic youth movement, after slovenia became a nation state (not the socialistic totalitarian state as yugoslavia) it was better for them to make it a global movement with their own art and ideas , and design.....yugoslavia died utopia died but part of it still lives in laibach......

Why in the Name of the Devil is Laibach considered to be "Nazi" simply because they have sung a German tune? Why do people think that anything German is Nazi? Could it be that they are closet racists, perhaps?
