Beautiful song. Alas, I smell a digital "synthesizer" chords sound. That should be replaced with pure analogue synthesizer chords, 1981-style as in Ladytron's early albums. Or at least be mixed lower. The actual composition is wonderful, so this song must be included in one of my favourite playlists anyway.

If you have to ask, the mix was over ambitious and can only really be appreciated on very expensive equipment. It's 'qualities' do not come across particularly well on radio. As a comparison, the same applies on Bowie's 'Lodger' album - sonically too much and lacks what was then called "FM sheen'. Changing the mix could make this more palatable and overall, a better record. Still love it though!
