Merci Martine xxx
After publishing three videos on bullfights using
Flamenco music for the first part and Queen sound tracks for the second and third part, my daughter made the remark that the song La Corrida by Francis Cabrel would have been a much better choice, at the very least much better then the Flamenco version and I quite agree. That is why I decided to publish a montage of photos synchronized on the song from Cabrel which I present you here.
I have heard the song hundreds of times or more since Cabrel offered it to us. I listened to it with the sound full blast so many times during my many trips by car. But never and I say never, had I realized that the words of Cabrel were those from the bull speaking in his song.
Take a break stop thinking about all kinds of stuff and listen to the lyrics as the images appear. Proof that there is no more deaf then he who doesn't want to hear you may tell me, and you are so right. I had never heard it this way. So voila! I decided to publish these photo montages on video that I offer you and who knows, maybe this will awaken some of you. Let's hope that it's not like for the bull....before it's too late!

La Corrida Francis Cabrel
From the moment that I've waited
In this dark room
I hear people having fun and singing
At the end of the hall
Someone touched the lock
And I dove into the daylight
I saw the band, the gates
And the people all around.
From the first moments I thought
That I only had to defend myself
But this place leads to nowhere
Im starting to understand
They closed the gate behind me
They were scared that I would back up
I will finish by catching him
This ridiculous dancer
Is this world for real?
Is this world for real?
Andalusia, I remember
The prairies filled with cacti
I will not tremble in front of
This puppet, this nobody
I will get him, him and his hat
Make them spin like a sun
Tonight the bullfighters wife
Will sleep on both her ears (referring to the bull losing its ears after the fight and her sleeping in peace?)
Is this world for real?
Is this world for real?
I have chased ghosts
Almost touched their ballerinas (or ballet slippers)
They hit me hard on my neck
So I would bow down
Where do they come from these acrobats
With their paper costumes?
I never learned to fight
Against dolls
Feeling the sand under my head
Its crazy how it can feel so good
I prayed that it would all end
Andalusia, I remember
I hear them laugh as I groan
I see them dance as I die
I didnt know that people could have
So much fun around a grave
Is this world for real?
Is this world for real?
Yes, yes, man, man,
Dance, dance
Dance again
And we will kill others
Other lives, and other bulls
And we will kill others
Come, come and dance
And we will kill others
