That others will castigate them form saying "Mushroomhead is art" is sad because the really are. They encompass so many genres fluidly, bring a serious industrial element to the groove metal sound, and capture pop sensibilities reminiscent of Faith No More and Billy Joel. <333Nu is my least favorite genre of punk and crossover but the fuckers kill it.

Korn just has a meaning to each and every song and Jonathan Davis has perhaps my favorite all around voice. His growl and just the steadiness of his voice is outstanding. Yeah chad grey, Corey Taylor, and Maynard James Keenan are some of my favorite singers but Jonathan just has so much that I can relate to and his voice is just so powerful.

Mushroomhead has never gotten the respect they should. They way they layer the vocals, integrate the keyboards, use different styles of music really put them apart from each album. XX and XIII are just great. You can here a strong Mr. Bungle/FNM influence.
