yea i'm pretty sure that's also true, i just think it's a little ridiculous for anyone saying korn started the whole mask wearing trend just by this interview which i doubt slipknot or mushroomhead have even seen lol

Yeah, Korns first cd was 3 years before slipknots...Fieldy said korn started in 1992 but the first actual cd was 93! and Munky fieldy and David played in a band called LAPD formed in 1989 (even wrote some of the korn 1994 riffs in that band and carried them over to korns self titled record) and JJ from slipknot said korn were an influence and that the "K" in their logo being capitalized was a tribute to them!

I know that slipknot has been wearing masks since they formed in 1995...But I'm pretty sure mushroomhead was before slipknot when it comes to wearing masks, correct me if I'm wrong!

lol i know, im just saying that slipknot whether the official lineup or not wore masks since they've started, so when the final lineup came along im sure they continued to wear masks because thats how it was from the beginning

But really it was around 96 when slipknot formed cause there was a lot of lineup changes and changes in their sound at first Until Mate feed kill repeat came out, and I believe the slipknot that we all know today didnt form until around 97 with corey taylor

shawn (the clown) wasnt in the band back in 93 it was a different lineup the drummer and guitarist were like the only original members and they wore masks back then
