It's just going to be Sex, drugs, Rock n Roll. Chips, dip, chains and whips! Don't worry there won't be any of the candle wax on the nipples or witch craft

The only way Madogga the trashy, derivative, attention-seeking circus performer would tackle and take a song anywhere near the quality of Kim's output would be if she stole the same writers and producers, which she often does anyway, but still, her songs are always aeons behind. 'Turn It On' from the lyrics to the music has Kim's memorable class all over it and nothing to do with Madogga. Bananarama, Sabrina, Spagna, Mariah Carey and all the dumb females of today, that's the Madonna tag.

Yes it did. Embarrassingy so as it's a masterful, superbly written and played song, but class of Kim's calibre suits it to a tee. And Madonna coudn't even come close. In 1986 with her embarrassing and derivatie disco-pap, Kim showed the trashy hoe how to do it as usual. Kim's one is the ultimate version, mysterious, eerie, sexy, understated, as Kim always does. Madonna is so below Kim's every standard it's a huge ugly joke, let more than half the world think the bag's the best. Oh dear.

I was the one who mentioned the Marilyn Martin version...I just gave that one another listen...it does pale in comparison to Kim Wilde's(music is more pulsating and vocals are emotional on Kim's, though Martin's vocal range is better)...Martin's is good but not great like Kim's(not as memorable). Martin's reminds me of an outtake or rejected song from Madonna's Like A Virgin album or from True Blue---same era, style, but NOT up to par for Madonna.

I didn't know Marilyn Martin recorded a version of this until I saw the comments, so I gave it a listen. Where Kim's original has a nautical, smoky, playful edge, Martin's version sounds like one of those session copies from a bad 80s beverage commercial where they couldn't afford to license the original recording. Bland, empty and doesn't hold up near as well as Kim's original does 27 years later. Martin's cover probably sounded dated by 1989.

I found this, through watching Weird Science, one of my favorite movies!! I love John Hughes and his style of writing. and I love the Porsche 928 in the movie! Now I'm addicted to this song, it sounds so good, I wish I could go back in a time machine!!
