Kiki will be 68 in March but still treats her fans to some wonderful concerts. She is a class act. After the shows always has time to chat with people. So unfortunate that it took so long for her to break into the UK Charts. This was a wonderful song which was enjoyed on the Northern soul circuit.

There's a singer named Gabbriella Climi who's done this song which is kind of interesting since this wasn't as popular and Kiki's 70's stuff. Unless "ON a Magic Carpet Ride" charted in the UK.

@MIKECNW This was recorded about 1968. I just saw that a cd compilation "I'm Kiki Dee: The Fontana Years 1963-1968" (RPM Records) is coming out soon. I like all the UK 60s girl pop singers and know the cd is gonna be a treat!

Pauline ( Kiki ) once actually babysat me as a lil nipper in the very early 60s and was a friend of my mums...We lived in Marshfields ..Bradford at the time. Pauline wasn't famous then but it was rumoured that it wouldn't take long..and it didn't.
