They really put a lot of work into giving this anime a good English dub. Too bad it was never all that popular. It deserves credit, it's a great anime.

Yeah, I totally noticed that myself. The ambiguity of the Japanese vocals is much better for the story. Yet, as far as dubs go, this one wasn't so bad. I still say, the best dub ever is the early Ranma 1/2 dubs. And Martian Successor Nadesico.

Watch the anime and you'll get an explanation of what happens at the end. Despite its horrifying appearance, it's actually a happy experience for her.

I hadnt watched the whole vid and I was like love thiss!.....Love thiiss!....(near the end) aaww she crying...? whys her tears pink.....O_O eeeww what the hell happend to her face! Still love the song! :D dont like the ending

What a great character. A great anime in general. People should be reminded of this. It's a shame these comments are spread out by months and years.

I keep forgetting how the lyrics of the song spiral downward from bright and happiness to depressing. It's a nice touch.

I think Key's Japanese voice is much more suited to the character; sounds more childlike and robotty. Love Junko Iwao =]

the german dvd has only a japanese synchronisation with german subtitles. i think, the english voice has a negativ aspect, because key sounds like a robot, what does not fit in the story and the character. in japanese, she has a normal, but passiv and monoton voice.

the thing is when you translate an anime into say english, you need the mouth flaps to fit so it doesn't look so broken up but still makes sense and is close enough to the original. I prefer these lyrics to be honest since they floe better into english than the direct translation
