I liked the Davy Jones version cuz I liked Davy Jones back in the day. But I really like the sound of Kevin Rowlands voice. Someone pointed out the harmonica, it does sound good. To a daydream believer and a homecoming Queen!! I love how his voice kind of has that lilt and you can almost hear his accent.

Oh gosh darn it why am I only finding out that Kev Rowland covered this now! To be honest I've always thought this song is a little dorky but there you go Kev Rowland just makes it cool. Gosh darn it he's such an amazing musician, vocalist, poet, artist... it's just mesmerizing.
