Kenny Rankin had a special gift. His voice was so soft and in tune that he allowed you to hear the words and enjoy the melody. Very versatile, indeed. A great musical loss. RIP

I've discovered him just tonight. It's a shame we didn't know him in Italy. It's incredible how special talents can be hidden by who knows "who and what"! We surely lost a lot. Great special.

Paul McCartney wanted Kenny to sing Blackbird when Lennon and McCartney were both inducted into the song writers hall of fame. Paul really liked Kenny's version. I read today that Kenny Rankin has died due to complications from Lung Cancer. A terrible loss. He had been working on songs for a new album.
