Kenny was the best, playing the fiddle, was like second nature. My favorite song to play on the fiddle.

To all of you armchair experts, take just a minute to research who is performing here. With a little bit of effort, you'd find that the original LP is County 775 Barnyard Swing with this particular cut including Bobby Osborne, his son Wynn on banjo, Charlie Collins on guitar, and Randy Davis on bass.Go ahead and play Cherokee Shuffle......you'll not be asked back to the next jam because its a different song.Trust me, Kenny didnt go out of tune - ever. In fact, he many times whispered advice to other BG boys. Please just enjoy all of this talent instead of trying to compare it to others.

Why not just play "Cherokee Shuffle" ?

Probably just me, as I sometimes think I'm a tad tonedef, but some of kenny's stuff on the e sounds out of tune to me...

based on some licks at the end of the mando solo I would guess was Roland who played on this tune...

@jomcg50 I think it was Bobby Osborne. I have the song on the album Farmyard Swing.

@crazymoon62 Really? Gosh, it doesn't really sounds like Monroe. If it was only Buck White, Roland White and Sam Bush playing mando I would say it was Buck White because it doesn't sound like Roland White nor does it sound like Sammy.

Buck White, Roland White and Sam Bush all played mandolin on this album, but I'm not sure who played on Lost Indian.

YUP... that's "money" ! Kenny's pure... and i don't mind that banjer solo 'bout a buck thirty into it... the last 10 seconds of which "kills"! Great tune, fer sure.

I can listen to this for all day, many thanks. By chance, do you have Kenny Baker's Dusty's Hornpipe on this album?
