The most tragic of all tragedies is war and its consequences. This song is about Arnhem in WW2 I've always thought. It was fought in Arnhem Holland in 1944 one of the bloodiest disasters of that disgraceful war and almost no one survived. This song is an elegy. I recently was locked up in a mental ward for no good reason and all I got out of that violent and brutal experience was that I could sing and nobody could stop me from it and almost everyone was impressed! I sang this song feeling closer to it than ever before in my life and I've loved it and suffered through it for 20 years. I love Kayak. The best band ever.10 years назад
