JBTV Music Television proudly welcomed Chicagoland native K Flay to perform her unique combination of indie-pop/hip-hop on the show. “Everyone I Know” starts off slow, gradually picking up-tempo turning into a pop tune you can’t help but move your feet to the rhythm.

Hailing from the suburbs of Chicago, K Flay holds degrees in Psychology, and Sociology from Stanford University. It was during that time she started experimenting with rapping, drawing influences from Lauryn Hill, Missy Elliott, and Fiona Apple. In addition to rapping, K Flay’s musical talents extend to playing guitar, and creating beats. She has shared the stages with the likes of Snoop Dogg, Ludacris, and 3OH!3. Her first EP entitled “Life As A Dog” was released in June 2014, and took the No. 14 spot on the Billboard Rap Albums chart.
