This song, these words are so relevant right at this very moment. We have unexplainable deaths, uncured diseases, poverty, hate, unexplained weather conditions, etc. As I sat and listened to the words, with my eyes closed I remembered the first hurricane that I experienced and survived. Chaos, tears, and prayers are what I remembered the most from that night. But, the next morning when I awoke, and walked to the front door, I swear that it was as if at the very moment, I opened our front door, a presence could be felt there. I felt calm, and despite the outcome of the storm, it was the most gorgeous, sunny, peaceful, and hopeful day that I have ever known. I watched as my neighbors walked around looking at the outcome of the night before, hugging one another, smiling, and giving what they had left to those who had lost everything. Even now, many years later, I sit here tears in my eyes, not as faithful as I once was, but remembering the goodness of God:). I guess, once touched, it never leaves.
