This song is very emotional. As a Veteran, I have trouble making it through this song without being choked up. I am so proud of those Americans that made the sacrifice to fight for this country and for those that gave the ultimate sacrifice. This song allows us to relive the wars of the past and mourn for those who died defending our freedom, however, my tears are not only for those lost, but for the shape our country is currently in.Public schools do not properly teach United States history and how the government functions. Likewise, most people do not choose to educate themselves about the issues of the day, but choose to vote based on a candidates charisma or name recognition. A recent poll revealed that four in five American youth did not know what rights the First Amendment afforded them.If we don't begin to educate our youth about why we are exceptional, then we will loose the most successful social experiment in the history of the world, Democracy. If everyone continues to think about what their country can do for them instead of what they can do for their country then we are doomed. It is time for people to stop taking government handouts and take pride in working for what they have.I believe a safety net is needed, but making it more attractive to stay on government handouts then to go out and attempt the American dream of self independence and risk to possibly become the next millionaire is Un-American.

I don't come from a military family (outside of my two grandpa's being drafted in WWII), but I try my best everyday to show our men and women who serve and who have served my appreciation and respect. I'm going to shamelessly plug and organization that I've been a former coordinator for but am now just an enthusiastic volunteer; Heroes on the Water. I've first-handedly seen the impact this great organization has made on our vets. We're all indebted to those who sacrifice their lives for us.

wow man i love this song! my gradfather was in the army during the korean war and was with the 101 3rd batiolion 187 and when i heard this song i layed it for him and you could see tears in his eyes he had type throat cancer and being in the 101st myself it really was hard to see him pass with the rest of my buddys that passed in iraq. i wish this song was played on the radio more its a little depresing but it has a good meaning behind it. love grandpa miss you

how the hell could any one forget korea? i fucking lost my grandfather to it! people need to pay attention to this stuff, because korea cost us good men. think about them! ad think of the kids whose grand parents and parents are now just tall tales blown awawy in the wind! that one person who disliked this, go to hell. this is serious. these are our forefathers they are talking about, good men dying for whose freedom? this song makes me think about my friend noah...he says he wants to grow to go into the military. we may be edgy, but i couldnt bear to loose him.its for a good cause, but i just care about him all too much. if i had to see him die, i would loose my mind. im note in love with him, but i truly care about him. it brings me to tears thinking about him and his future... i wish the fighting would stop all my veterans are badly injured.i dont want that to happen to my noah. stop war. no more pain...
