Adaptation and necessity sometimes create great artists. Look at Wes Montgomery - he learned to use his thumb instead of a pick because he practiced when his wife was sleeping and wanted not to wake her (playing with the thumb was softer). That would end up giving him a corn on his thumb that created that Wes Montgomery 'sound'. It also helped that his thumb was double jointed (he could bend his thumb to touch is wrist).

As far as the Bereli comparison goes, I'd say Bereli IS a better improvizer, but Joscho is a better guitarist on sheer clean playing given the technicality of his licks. Given my choice I'll listen to Joscho anythime.

Bravo! wonderful guitar playing, Joscho makes every song sound fresh and new, and there is a very joyful energy to his style of playing, I am sure people would love to see Joscho in California, any plans for an american tour?
