Fine and dandy but she's in the RRHOF and bands like Grand Funk and Deep Purple and Humble Pie aren't. They finally, after tons of pressure just inducted Hall and Oats and took so long to induct the Dave Clark Five that their long paralyzed singer, Mike Smith, and their Saxophonist Denis Payton, had already died. Screw the RRHOF. Just a Good Ol' Boy Club that are in love with their self described Power Trip. Madonna is in too? Joni is good but the only thing I really enjoyed by her was her collaboration with Pat Metheny and Jaco Pastorius and that's Jazz. The rest is just Folk Music and Pop, not Rock and Roll. Last I heard, Yes isn't in either but KISS is!!!!???

Rob Bob whoever you are. Joni called Bob a plagiarist as if American music was a college theme paper. Without Bob's impact on the Scene back in the day there would have been no demand for her great talent and she'd be carrying a sign against pesticides. I pointed out that Joni's songs are about Joni and her beautiful angst. Her hostility to Bob is legend and she's a gifted hysteric of the first water. Bob's music is bigger than Bob because he has the artistic empathy that she inarguably does not. He has inserted himself in his music as somebody who could be anybody. Joni could be nobody but Joni. She's written and performed great songs but on an educated list of all time singer songwriters she ain't up to Chuck Berry or Bruce or maybe a dozen others. She's Leonard Cohen's soulmate and he, at least, knows it.
