I love this song and I love Joni. But this version is awful. Her voice sounds terrible and that guitar I think was part of the reason she retired for ten years. It is atonal. Every song sounds alike. I guess she was kicking off "Taming the Tiger" when she did this performance. She's turned a beautiful song into a throwaway from "Taming the Tiger". Watching this performance, it's obvious why she gave up the guitar and switched to a symphonic sound to beef up her ragged voice. So very sad.
